Music Composition
Using Steinberg's Nuendo 4 and an efficient array of VSTs, George can tailor music to meet the atmospheric, emotional, and thematic needs of your production. While remaining flexible to the desires of his clients, George normally approaches productions with creating musical themes for certain characters or aspects of the film/game, as well as a musical theme for the film/game itself, and then weaves in renditions of those themes throughout the score so that your production will have a unique musical identity all its own that viewers and players alike can associate with your work.
Currently, George has the most experience in composing dramatic orchestral scores with a certain grand and magical life to them as well as alternative rock. He has composed some jazz styles and some electronic styles as well, but he is always open to try something new.
Furthermore, no piece is considered complete until the client is satisfied with the results. Oftentimes, musical cues get better with more drafts, and George will not stop until you feel the music has reached its peak for your scenes.
Screenwriting
Since 2010, George has studied the art of screenwriting. He currently screenwrites for Wicked Window Productions of Tampa Bay, FL. As of 2012, he has begun writing an epic fantasy-steampunk adventure audio drama titled "Skynetessa" which he will be producing, directing, and scoring.
Though Powell's writing style is very partial to the 1980's-style adventure genre, he has also written some horror screenplays as well as a few drama screenplays.
Voice Acting
Combining Adobe Audition, a Samson C01U USB Studio Condensor microphone, and a host of audio post-production plugins such as Ozone4, RoomWorks, and StudioEQ, George can use his voice acting talents to play just about any type of male character that requires a medium-low to low vocal range.
